Pro/DESKTOP is a legacy 3D CAD application that was widely used in education for introducing mechanical design and engineering graphics. It provides parametric, sketch-based solid modeling, basic assembly tools, and the ability to produce 2D drawings and simple renderings, all within an interface designed to be approachable for beginners. Commonly distributed to schools under educational licensing, it helped students grasp core CAD concepts such as constraints, dimensions, and feature-based modeling. Although now discontinued, it remains useful for working with older educational projects and for teaching foundational CAD workflows on Windows PCs.
Pro/DESKTOP is developed by PTC. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 6.0, 7.3, 8.0, 8.1 and 8.2. The name of the program executable file is ProD.exe. Works with alb, des file types.
